Fitwashed.

Crossfit takes the intelligence out of fitness. I love to do WOD’s on days that I don’t do strength, if I feel like my body is up to it, but I feel like the idea that you HAVE to complete each WOD, that you have to rx, that you have to be at the box 5 or 6 or even 7 days of a week is ridiculous. Further, the blind following of whatever WOD is given to you without a sense of continuity in your program is simply counter productive for anyone who is genuinely seeking to improve strength consistently over time. You may find yourself with three days of deadlift based WODs in a row one week and then not do one for another month. Similarly, you might find yourself doing 500 split jerks in a week - an exercise that is designed for explosive power, not for endurance. Crossfit is good in many ways, but it is a business that is designed to make money off of people who are so consumed by it’s extremely effective marketing strategy.
